New Atlantic Fellows Scheme Includes Artists

As reported in The Australian (1 June 2016) The Atlantic Philanthropies have announced a new investment— the Atlantic Fellows — focused on ‘the world’s most critical challenges’. This new investment will operate through the London School of Economics International Inequalities Institute, and through the Atlantic Institute based in Oxford and operated by the Rhodes Trust.

While AP are better known in Australia for their donations to biomedical research, the Atlantic Fellows program includes ‘researchers, teachers, health professionals, activists, scholars, entrepreneurs, artists, writers, government officials and others dedicated to tackling global challenges to health, equity, opportunity and removing barriers to inclusion’. Details are still being developed and further information is expected shortly.
