ACOLA Releases Skills and Capabilities for Australian Enterprise Innovation Report

A new report released by ACOLA emphasises that truly innovative business needs a diversity of skills and capabilities within its workforce, which includes creative capacities. The research which included interviews with senior executives in highly innovative organisations and experts on innovation practice and policy, notes that ‘the current focus on science and technology skills inputs is not sufficient to address Australia’s shortcomings in innovation’ and recommends ‘a more holistic approach . . .  that teams humanities, arts and social sciences (HASS)-based skills with science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM)-based skills.’
